A public information meeting about the Air Traffic Control Tower was held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Leesburg Executive Airport. The project team was on hand to answer questions related to the tower's proposed location, to explain the purpose and benefits of the control tower and to answer questions about environmental impacts. The next steps for this project include completion of the Environment Assessment and submission for review and initiation of the design work. Project is expected to start Summer 2025 and completion Spring 2029. As of September 12, 2025, at its September 9, 2025, meeting, the Town Council authorized funding to include grant agreements and approve the design contract.
