Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 132,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, 1,070-seat educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The Simcoe County District School Board proposes to construct a new 12,262.8 m2 (132,000 ft2) three (3) storey school at the intersection of Sunnidale Road and Sun Valley Avenue in the Town of Wasaga Beach. The project is scheduled to be tendered early summer 2026, with construction starting August 2026, and substantially performed by Spring 2029. Invitations to Tender will be sent to successful pre-qualified General Contractors, and Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Contractors as a result of this request for contractor pre-qualification. Roofing Sub-Contractors from the SCDSB's latest vendor of record lists will be invited to submit pricing to the General Contractors. Proposals shall be based upon CCDC 11 - 2019 as well as supplementary documentation to demonstrate managerial, safety, financial and bonding capabilities. Only General Contractors who have completed new secondary school buildings of a value not less than $55,000,000.00 and M&E sub-contractors with experience on similar sized projects will be considered.
