Site work and asbestos abatement for a multi-residential development in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a multi-residential development.

Closing Time: 12:00 PM (NT) Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/10/31 12:00:00 PM NDT 1 Provide all labour, materials, equipment, superintendence, temporary facilities and administration necessary to perform the work outlined below and described in greater detail in the specifications and drawings attached. 2 All work in this project is to be completed in accordance with all related NL Housing specifications and Occupational Health and Safety requirements. 3 Contractor is responsible to verify all measurements on site prior to work being completed. All measurements and quantities in scope and drawings are estimated and for bidding purposes only. 4 Asbestos has been identified in the installed flooring and drywall compound. Results are found in Schedule "D". Materials identified as Asbestos Containing Materials are to be removed and disposed of according to the NL Asbestos Abatement Regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. 5 There is a pre tender site meeting scheduled for 10:00am (NDT) on Tuesday, October 31, 2024 at 12 Brown Ave, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Attendance is not mandatory but advised. 1.2 Outline of Work 12 Brown Ave (Vacant Unit) 1 Remove all wall and ceiling gypsum board, including all millwork, present in unit and dispose of at proper waste disposal site. Temporally remove heaters, light fixtures and switches to allow removal of drywall. Clean removed items. and reinstall in existing locations. 2 Remove all water damaged or deteriorated insulation in exterior and fire separation walls and dispose of at proper waste disposal site, unit pricing to be entered on Schedule "D" TF"8". Quantities must be verified by NL Housing Representative prior to removal. 3 Remove finish flooring (Vinyl composite tile) and stair treads and dispose of at proper waste disposal site. 4 Remove all interior doors, frames and hardware and dispose of at proper waste disposal site. 5 Remove kitchen cabinets, complete with range hood and sink, and dispose at proper waste disposal site 6 Remove tub, toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet and all bathroom accessories and dispose of at proper waste disposal site. 7 Remove existing air exchanger and all related accessories including ductwork and dispose of at proper waste disposal site. 8 Complete mould abatement in accordance with the IICRC S520 mould remediation standard throughout entire unit including joists, floor decking and wall studs. 10 Brown Ave (Occupied Unit) .1 Remove all gypsum board, including baseboards, from unit separation wall in living room and from unit separation wall to center of ceiling and dispose of at proper waste disposal site. This work to be completed in accordance with all NL Asbestos Abatement Regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Initial and clearance air sampling results are required prior to payments made. NOTE: This unit is occupied, all work to be completed following NL Asbestos Abatement Regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. 2 Complete mould abatement in accordance with the IICRC S520 mould remediation standard on exposed joists, floor decking and wall studs 3 Supply and install new fire rated drywall on wall and new drywall on ceiling where removed to match existing. Plaster all joints as per specification. Sand to a fine finish and apply primer t to new drywall, provide sufficient coverage to ensure no burn through of plaster into finish paint. All walls in living room be painted with Glidden ULTRA Interior Latex Paint Semi-Gloss, Universal Grey, or approved equal. Paint ceiling in living room with Flat ceiling paint listed as an approved product on masters painters institute #53. 4 Supply and install new baseboard along unit separation wall in living room where removed. Paint white with Glidden ULTRA Interior Latex Paint Semi-Gloss, or approved equal.
