Closing Time: 12 Noon Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/11/11 12:00:00 PM NST Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Certification(Request for Quotations contract Public Woks or Services) including all required schedules Commercial General Liability Insurance: Without restricting the generality of Section 5 - Indemnity hereof, the Contractor shall maintain, at its expense, Commercial General Liability Insurance acceptable to NLHC to protect NLHC against all liabilities or damages in respect of injuries to persons (including injuries resulting in death) in the minimum amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000) with respect to the operations of the Contractor and/or its Sub-Contractors and in respect of damages to property arising out of performance of the Work. This insurance shall include NLHC and the occupant of the property as Additional Insureds. The Contractor shall not commence any work until a Certificate of Insurance, obtained at the Contractors expense, has been received and approved by NLHC as specified herein. Work includes inspections/servicing of fire extinguishers as listed below within the Grand Falls-Windsor area, NL in accordance with NFPA Life Safety Code and National Building Code. 2. The contractor shall make all necessary arrangements with any authority having jurisdiction over the work for the performance of any inspections which may be required and shall notify NL Housing at least Seventy-two (72) hours in advance of such inspections. 3. Inspections of all addresses noted in Schedule "A" to be completed once a year during the month of May. Buildings to be inspected and all service completed the same day. If circumstances dictate the service of extinguisher cannot be completed the same day the service provider shall within seven (7) business days have work completed. Service provider is responsible to arrange a time with NL Housing client for return of extinguisher. Fire Extinguishers 1. The contractor shall perform an on-site inspection of all fire extinguishers located in Address Schedule and shall carry out a further similar inspection not more than twelve (12) months from each relevant inspection date for the duration of the contract. 2. The duration of the contract is one year with option to extend for year two, plus an additional option to extend for year three, as per the same contract obligation and costs. Extension of contract must be agreed upon by both parties. ** 3. Access to apartments to permit inspection of equipment shall be arranged by NL Housing in consultation with the service provider. 72 hours notice to be given to NL Housing for preparation and distribution of notices to clients. 4. Service provider to submit NL Housing with a list of inspections within seven (7) business days from date of inspection. All other extinguishers shall have affixed a record of date of inspection and certification. 5. Each fire extinguisher listed above (.4) shall be identified by size, type, serial number and location. In cases where servicing is required the contractor shall specify the type of servicing required (ie.
