Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Soldotna, Alaska. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
SCOPE OF WORK The Borough and the District is seeking proposals from qualified professional consulting firms to complete all phases of design development including construction administration for the new facility in Kachemak Selo as specified in the general conditions. The current project has struggled due to budgeting issues arriving from the remoteness of the site, construction cost escalation, inadequate match funding, and facility program efficiency challenges. At a minimum, it is the intent of this process to design and construct a facility that addresses these challenges while meeting the needs of the Borough, the District, and the Community Any questions regarding this proposal are to be submitted in writing to the Purchasing and Contracting Director by no later than 5:00 PM local time on November 6, 2024. Questions may be submitted through the online questions and answers section of this bid on electronic Award of this proposal is anticipated to be announced within forty-five (45) calendar days, although all offers must be complete and irrevocable for forty-five (45) days following the submission date. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
