The work for which proposals are invited consists of the furnishing and installing of new sewer lines and manholes to replace the existing failing sewer system. The location of this project is Robinhood Drive in Moss Point, Mississippi. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Payment and Performance Bond if the bid equals or exceeds $25,000. If the bid is less than $25,000, the City of Moss Point may elect to make a lump sum payment at the completion of the job, in which case a payment and performance bond shall not be required. Proposals must be accompanied by a Proposal Guaranty consisting of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid. The City of Moss Point reserves the right to accept or reject any bids. All persons having a contract with the City of Moss Point must adhere to the City's policy concerning non-discrimination without regard to race, creed, color, age, sex, national origin, or handicap. On bids which equal or exceed $50,000, Certificate of Responsibility classification issued by the Mississippi State Board of Contractors shall be written on the outside of the envelope containing the bids. Bids of less than $50,000 will be marked on the outside that the bid contained within does not exceed $50,000.
