Questions Submission Deadline February 18, 2025 The scope of work for the contract will include, but is not limited to, the following: The Contractor will manufacture and deploy specially fabricated concrete and limestone artificial reef modules in the Mississippi Sound. Approximately 900 individual reef structures shall be deployed in groups of five and arranged in a chevron pattern alternating north and south of a center line that runs the length of the area permitted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Permit # SAM-2017-01109-RCV). The reef modules must be Marine Line Form Habitat Patent Holder No. 7,827,937 or approved equal. The reefs will be four to five stacked concrete discs approximately 4.5 feet in diameter, embedded with limestone permanently mounted on 53 feet to 55 feet of hollow fiberglass pilings that are 12 inches in diameter. Pilings used to anchor the modules must be jetted into the seabed a minimum of 40 feet. At least one module per cluster will be fitted with a permanent hazard marker. Permanent lighted wooden pilings will also be placed as required by US Coast Guard Aids to Navigation regulations. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, personnel, supplies, and transportation necessary for successful completion of the project at no additional cost to MDMR. Bidders shall submit any question(s) via email by the deadline reflected in the Procurement Timeline. The initial term of the contract resulting from the IFB shall be for a period of one year upon execution by the bidder and the Executive Director of MDMR. Subject to the availability of funds and at the sole discretion of the MDMR with the agreement of the Contractor, MDMR reserves the right to exercise an option to renew the contract for one (1) successive year under the same prices, terms, and conditions as in the original contract. The total number of renewal years permitted shall not exceed one. Work is expected to begin no later than April 2025.
