The project is located in Jackson County, Mississippi and the work shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor necessary for the removal of accumulated alum sludge from two sludge containment ponds at the Bayou Casotte Industrial Water Plant located at 7800 Bayou Cumbest Road in Pascagoula, MS. The removal process will be performed by means of hydraulic dredging and pumped into the adjacent drying beds. Contractors have the option of submitting their bids sealed in an envelope or electronically. Bids submitted by mail shall be sent to Jackson County Port Authority, P.O. Box70, Pascagoula, MS 39568. Any bid in excess of $50,000 must contain on the outside of the envelope the contractor's current certificate of responsibility number and no bid shall be opened or considered unless this number appears on the outside of the envelope or unless a statement is included on the outside of the envelope indicating that the bid enclosed does not exceed $50,000.Bids submitted by a nonresident contractor shall include the nonresident contractor's current state law in relation to preference law. Bids may be held up to 90 days from the date of the bid opening for review of the bids and qualifications of the bidders prior to Contract award.
