Home Rehabilitation City of Moss Point The City of Moss Point, MS has an allocation of CDBG entitlement funds to be spent on housing rehabilitation for low- to moderate-income households. To maximize the impact of the limited funds available, the City is requesting bids from Mississippi Board of Contactors Licensed Contractors on a collected body of work at several locations in the City. The work that is being solicited is on owner-occupied residential properties in need of repairs, replacement, or installation of HVAC systems or water heaters. Applications have been vetted and ranked in terms of award on a first-come, first-served basis as long as grant funds are available. The Contractor's scope of work will include: (1) Secure from the City a ranked order list of residences approved as candidates for award of the grant for rehabilitation for their homes. (2) Work with the City to evaluate the need for HVAC or water heater repairs in homes owned by qualified residents of the City of Moss Point and prepare a bid for each property. (3) Upon award, the Contractor shall purchase the permits necessary and perform the work as called for in the bidding documents. (4) Provide documentation necessary as evidence of compliance to fair labor practices as required by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). (5) Provide project closeout documents as per contract documents. Bidding proposals should include: evidence of qualification to perform the work described in the scope of work as evidenced by Referenced similar rehabilitation projects completed in the region Certification by appropriate state qualifying board Indication of availability to begin the project within 60 days of award of contract and to complete the project not later than December 30, 2025
