In general, the project will consist of the installation of a 250,000 gallon welded steel water tank, including any necessary appurtenances, on 19850 Villa Drive, Sonora, in Tuolumne County, CA. Note that installation of underground pipelines, final connections to the tank, excavation and grading, tank backfill, cathodic protection, and electrical are the responsibility of the District. Any questions concerning a contractor may be referred to the Registrar, Contractors State License Board, P.O. Box 26000, Sacramento, CA 95826 Bidders and their proposed subcontractors shall hold such licenses as may be required by the laws of the State for the performance of the work specified in the Contract Documents, including a Class A license or its equivalent for the type of work called for under this Contract. Any Bid submitted to the District by a Contractor who is not licensed in accordance with the California Contractors State License Law, Business and Professions Code Section 7000 et seq., or in violation of Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15, shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected by the District. The Contract time for performance is 150 calendar days from the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. The District expects to issue the Notice to proceed no later than January 6th, 2025. Proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond issued by a Surety authorized to issue such bonds in the state where the work is located, in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total amount of the Proposal. Cash or certified checks will not be accepted as bid security. Proposals shall be prepared in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Contract Documents, on the forms therein or copies thereof. Upon being awarded the contract, Contractor shall provide a 100% Public Works Payment Bond and a 100% Performance Bond. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which, however, shall not extend beyond 90 days from the bid opening date.
