Site work, new construction and renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Hammond, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center; and for site work for a fitness / recreation center.

The Hammond Sportsplex Addition consists of a new 26,130 sq. ft addition to the existing sports facility. The existing soccer fields will be demolished and replaced with 8 (eight) volleyball courts that are convertible to 4 (four) basketball courts once soccer is established in the addition. The renovation of the existing soccer field area will include the build out of new changing rooms, offices, storage and a concession stand. These new rooms will be covered by a viewing platform that will tie the existing walking track together. The new sand volleyball courts will be North of existing site parking to the West of the Sportsplex Building. This project will be a FEDERALLY FINANCED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT. All rules and regulations governing such projects will be applicable. Requirements for prevailing wage rates and certified payrolls apply as it is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Hammond or an acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than (5%) of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. A performance and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required.
