Renovation of a residential development in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The scope of services includes renovation to an existing building located at 1871 Baldwin Street. This is a renovation to the interior of the building on both the first and second floors. Proposers are required to familiarize themselves with the drawings and all notes, as well as, the limited environmental report. Generally, the scope includes removal of flooring in areas indicated and installation of new LVT flooring. Contractor is required to properly dispose of any ACM containing materials that may be disturbed during the renovations. Some partitions are called to be removed and this paneling shall be removed carefully to be reused in other locations within the building. All window air conditioner units are to be removed as indicated, review the plans for locations of new split system units. Some doors are called to be removed and replaced, those that remain will get new hardware and shall be painted. All walls are to be painted as indicated on the drawings. Existing ceiling tiles and lighting are to remain unless otherwise indicated on the drawings. indicated on the drawings. Mechanical and electrical systems per mechanical and electrical drawings including fire alarm and smoke detection systems. Exterior work is limited and includes installing three four-inch diameter concrete encased conduits from the telephone pole located on Baldwin Street under the parking lot and into the basement. Also included in exterior work is the installation of property monuments and filling in old window wells. All questions and communications about this request for Proposal and submission requirements must be directed to the City of Waterbury online website and must be received by 2:00 PM on November 8, 2024. Responses to questions submitted by the above date or identified at any Information Session to be held in regard to this RFP, along with any changes or amendments to this RFP, will be available via the City of Waterbury online website by November 14, 2024, 2:00 PM. Any contract issued pursuant to the RFP is anticipated to have the following Contract Time: The Contractor shall Substantially Complete all work and services required under this Contract within NINETY (90) consecutive calendar days of the City's written Notice to Proceed and shall reach Final Completion within ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) consecutive calendar days of the City's written Notice to Proceed. The agreement period for any contract or purchase order resulting from this RFP is anticipated to be 120 consecutive calendar days from the written notice to proceed.
