Proposals from qualified consultant firms to provide design, permitting and construction administration services for various capital improvement/renovation projects related to the Public Safety Radio System on a task assignment basis. Task assignments will be subject to scope definition and determination of level of effort on a taskby-task basis. Generally, task assignments could include the engineering and management services to upgrade, maintain, operate and make modifications to the Public Safety Radio System for Palm Beach County Electronic Services & Security Division (ESS) and other RF/Wireless/Communications systems County Wide. Work may include, but are not limited to needs assessments, design criteria concepts, observation of systems integration and system testing, technology recommendations, master planning, engineering, design, cost estimating, and construction administration services for various countywide RF and wireless communications projects. Generally, construction costs for each project assigned under the contract will not exceed $4,000,000 (or as may be amended by statute). It is anticipated that one (1) firm will be selected for a five (5) year contract with no renewal options. Palm Beach County reserves the right to waive any irregularities or reject any and all proposals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
