As of November 6, 2025, this project is dead. Bristol TN couldn't get in agreement with Boyd Sports and Boyd has now teamed up with Bristol VA. Site will change. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Construction Manager at Risk for Renovations to Tod Houston Field. F. Project Summary a. The facility will serve as the home baseball stadium for the Tennessee High School Vikings and will include the following: grandstands, group seating areas, clubhouse, locker rooms, fencing, artificial turf, parking areas, scoreboard/videoboard, lighting, etc. These areas will be either new construction or renovated existing spaces as allowed by the budget. b. In addition, the facility will serve as the home baseball stadium for the Bristol State Liners of the Appalachian League. c. In addition, the facility will be used by the City of Bristol for community events such as youth sports, tournaments, concerts, etc. d. The CM will aid the owner and designer in the development of a preliminary specification. e. The project will be placed on the existing site of Tod Houston Field and the recently closed Haynesfield Pool. The project site is approximately 5.5 acres. A topographic site plan is attached to this Request for Qualifications for information. f. This facility will need to be constructed in conjunction with the requirements of the State of Tennessee Fire Marshall's office. g. The exterior of the facility shall be aesthetically pleasing to fit into the neighborhood in which it is located. The stadium shall be constructed to maximize both player and fan experiences within the budget allowed. h. The Owner will contract with a Construction Manager and the work will be completed using "Construction Manager at Risk", with a "Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP)". The Construction Manager will provide preconstruction design services during the schematic development and during the development of construction documents. i. This facility may be completed using a phased approach to minimize the interruption of both the Tennessee High Vikings and the Bristol State Liners baseball seasons and the project must be completed in budget.
