GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: In general, consists of the replacement of the water and sewer mains in East Bay Avenue, Delaware Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue, Pine Street, Oak Street, and Cedar Street in the Township of Stafford, Ocean County, New Jersey. It will also involve the installation of new stormwater infrastructure on Pine Street and at the intersection of East Bay Avenue and Cedar Street, Township of Stafford, Ocean County, New Jersey. These requirements apply to ARPA funds from the time of award until the end of the performance period, which is December 31, 2026. BID SECURITY: Bidder shall submit with their bid an electronic bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to the Township of Stafford, along with a Surety Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for the full amount of the bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and said Surety will furnish a consolidated Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of the successful Bidder’s contract. Forfeiture of deposit in certain cases A deposit made by any person who makes or causes to be made a false, deceptive or fraudulent statement or answers in response to a questionnaire or in the course of a hearing hereunder may be caused to be forfeited, as liquidated damages by and to the contracting unit.
