Renovation of a water / sewer project in Riverside, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Work on the improvements shall commence within ten days of the issuance of a written Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued upon approval of the contract by the Council and be completed as stated below. Construct UV Disinfection System Replacement including all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for demolition; excavation, backfill, and sitework; ultraviolet disinfection equipment; reinforced concrete structures; canopy; miscellaneous equipment; piping and appurtenances; piping specialties; electrical work including conduit, cables, wiring, motor controls, starters, switches, fixtures, and controls; seeding and miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup. The bid security should be made payable to THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, IOWA. The bid security must not contain any conditions either in the body or as an endorsement thereon. The bid security shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract within 10 days after the award of contract and post bond satisfactory to the City insuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract and the maintenance of said work, if required, pursuant to the provisions of this notice and other contract documents. Bidders shall use the bid bond form included in the specifications.
