Kent County desires to study the current and anticipated uses of the 63rd District Court and analyze how our work functions have changed since the building opened and how that relates to the existing spaces provided in the facility. The County also desires to analyze what a 3rd judgeship means for the facility and both its current and forecasted uses. With the many substantial changes in the facility since the 2009 construction, the County desires to continue to refine space use with regard to citizen service, operational efficiency, energy efficiency, safety, security, and fiscal economies. The consultant will work with the County's Facilities Management Department and 63rd District Court leadership to review the existing facility with regard to function, organization/staff levels (current and projected), interaction, and work areas - and provide observations/recommendations with priorities for consideration by County leadership.
