The City of Wood River, Hall County, Nebraska will receive sealed bids for a street and utility project called BABEL ACRES 2ND SUBDIVISION WATER & SEWER EXTENSION. The project roughly includes: o 800 to 1100 L.F. of 8" water main, three fire hydrants, valves and fittings. o 600 to 1200 L.F. of 8" sewer main, two or four manholes and services o 80 L.F. of 14" steel casing bored and jacked under Highway 11. This includes all associated work as described in the Plans and Specifications. The project will be bid as a Paving and Grading Contract and a Utility Contract. The City reserves the right to accept the best combination of bids to meet its needs. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, and shall be made payable to The City of Wood River as security that the bidder to whom the contract may be awarded will enter into contract to construct the project and give bond in the sum of the total contract amount for the construction of the project. Checks accompanying bids not accepted shall be returned to the bidders after a contract is awarded. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for this project. No bid shall be withdrawn after opening the bids without the consent of the Owner for a period of 60 days. The Owner reserves the right to accept, reject or negotiate any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
