The Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District is requesting bids for the repair of a portion of the stone wall at Ritter Park Rose Garden. This project is to be completed by June 1, 2025. Services The contractor must carry out the described scope of work in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. The scope of work includes the following work items, which are supplemented by attached photos. 1. Rebuild outer wall at the Ritter Park Rose Garden installing drainage and backfilled with gravel to enhance drainage capabilities. This work is to include all labor, equipment, material, insurance, tools, permits, licenses and workers compensation necessary for the work described in the Scope of Work. GHPRD will make their selection within two weeks of receipt of bids and will want to sign a contract with the Contractor by December 31, 2024. Payment Process Contractors must submit standard SHPO invoice forms provided by GHPRD for payment and will be paid for work completed. Invoices are to be submitted monthly. Contractors must allow approximately 2 to 3 weeks for payment of all invoices. Last payment will be held until the work is completed and approved by the State Historic Preservation Office. Source of Funding/Funding Requirements Partial funds for the project are through the WV State Historic Preservation Office (WVSHPO) and all work must be approved by the SHPO prior to payment.
