Renovation of an educational facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Project: Install an automated bedding removal system to serve rooms within the Medical Science Building I, Medical Science Research Building II, and Medical Science Research Building III on the University of Michigan's Medical Campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. System includes material transport tubing routed from the inlet points in the rooms to collection and vacuum equipment located at the Medical Science Building I loading dock #2. Modify HVAC serving the collection point rooms to automatically adjust airflows in response to bedding removal system activation within the collection rooms. Major aspects of the work include, but are not limited to: 1. Penetrations of existing structures as required for new construction. 2. Removal, abatement, and proper disposal of existing asbestos containing materials, lead containing materials, PCB containing materials, and regulated building materials. 3. Interior and exterior doors and hardware. 4. Architectural finishes repair where impacted by the installation of the vacuum system. 5. Revision of existing HVAC systems. 6. New bedding removal system, purchased by Owner and installed by Contractor. 7. Electrical power and data. This project has prevailing wage requirements.
