Scope: The scope of services includes renovation to an existing building located at 13 Wolcott Street, Food Bank at Sacred Heart Church. This is a renovation to the interior of the building on the basement floor required to repurpose it into a G.W.I.M. Food Bank. Proposers are required to familiarize themselves with the drawings, specifications and all notes, as well as, the limited environmental drawings. Generally, the scope of services includes selective interior demolition, construction of an interior/exterior ramp, removal of interior structural walls, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. Scope of services also includes installation of interior finishes like acoustic ceiling, interior partitions, carpentry, new toilet accessories in restrooms, stainless steel wall panelsin kitchen prep area. Contractor shall remove and abate hazardous building materials like asbestos, floor tiles, pipe insulation, lead based paint, and mold. Contractor is required to properly dispose of any ACM containing materials that may be disturbed during the renovations. Some doors are called to be removed and replaced and those that remain will receive new hardware and be painted. All walls are to be painted as indicated on the drawings. Existing ceiling tiles and lighting are to remain unless otherwise indicated on the drawings. New ceiling tiles and grid shall be installed as indicated on the drawings. IT/Data infrastructure required as indicated on the drawings. Mechanical systems including floor drains and electrical systems per mechanical and electrical drawings including fire alarm and smoke detection systems. Any contract issued pursuant to the RFP is anticipated to have the following Contract Time: The Contractor shall Substantially Complete all work and services required under this Contract within one hundred ten (110) consecutive calendar days from the City's written Notice to Proceed and shall reach Final Completion within one hundred forty (140) consecutive calendar days of the City's written Notice to Proceed. The basement consists of approximately 4.500 sq. ft. of area. The building is empty with the upper levels of the church to be outside the limits of construction. The work includes but is not limited to the following: o Create a new handicapped entrance along an existing area through an existing window to be modified to a new doorway entrance. o Demotion of the existing raised stage to provide level entry to the new offices. o Demolition of the existing hazardous floor materials along with limited lead pain on walls. o Demolition of the existing cooking hood and ductwork to the exterior of the building. o Remove damaged lath and plaster ceiling in the original cooking area. o Remove exiting bathroom fixtures to provide for new fixtures in different locations. o Remove sections of existing concrete floor slab to make way for new drains and sink drains, along with recessed walk-in cooler and freezers. o Install new kitchen equipment including 8' hood with make up air, new sinks, counter and dish washing equipment. o Equipment included in owner's "list of equipment" will be installed by others. Hood to be installed by hood subcontractor. o Provide new concrete infill and underground piping, recessed cooler/freezer locations, bathroom area slabs removed and recessed slab area below existing stage floor. o Provide new partitions, doors and wall and ceiling finishes as shown on plans. o Provide new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems as shown on the plans. o Provide punch list and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure proper working order.
