The Virginia Department of Transportation, herein referred to as "VDOT," is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to furnish, deliver, and set up two (2) pre-built and pre-manufactured run-in storage buildings (3-sided structures with openings at front) to the Luray Area Headquarters - Bridge Section located at 551 Mechanic Street, Luray, VA 22835 which is within the VDOT Staunton District, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in accordance with the specifications contained herein. 1. Two (2) pre-built run-in wooden buildings 12 ft wide x 24 ft long with two openings at front, constructed per ASCE 7-16 standards with 6x6 pressure treated grade beams, 4x4 posts, 2x4 girts and braces, headers, 2x4 rafters and OSB roof sheathing. 2. The unit shall each have an asphalt shingle roof - Certainteed Landmark Designer Shingles, Color: Weathered Wood, or equal. 3. The unit shall each have painted white pine board & batten siding (Sherwin Williams, SW9103, Farro). 4. The unit shall each have an opening end to end on the long side, full height. 5. The unit will not have any windows, ramp or floor. 6. Pricing shall include all costs including shipping, delivery, and setup. No additional charges will be allowed. 7. VDOT will be prepping shed location pads with compacted gravel. 8. Picture below shows design intent only for requested run-in shed. Work Location: Luray Area Headquarters located at 551 Mechanic Street, Rt 675, Luray VA 22835. One time purchase to be delivered on or before December 13, 2024. (non-renewable) A pre-bid conference will not be held. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Elana Sorrell at Elana.Sorrell@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM EST on November 4th.
