All Bidders shall be required to submit a written proposal for the Work. In brief summary, the Work consists of the following: SCOPE OF WORK (Brief Description): The Contractor shall be required to provide the maintenance and care of all exterior landscape areas described in the Contract Documents at the intervals of those areas described, including but not limited to mowing and string trimming, tree and shrub trimming, manual and chemical weed control & removal, debris collection and removal for those areas of the Village including, but not limited to, turf, planters, flowerbeds, concrete walks, brick pavers, cobblestone, driveways, parking lots, curb lines, signal islands, the VillageaEUR(TM)s wastewater treatment site, state, county, local and railroad rights-of-way for each of four (4) contract years. The term of each contract shall be from April 1 through November 30 of each respective contract year. It is the intention of the Village to award a contract for the initial 2025 landscape season (i.e., April 1, 2025 through November 30, 2025) and to thereafter award an annual contract for each of the remaining three (3) contract years, i.e., 2026, 2027, and 2028. The Village may accept, in writing, one of the bids, and/or any part or parts thereof, or reject all bids, within one hundred twenty (120) days from the opening of bids or such longer time as stated in the bid documents or such time as agreed to by the Village and one or more bidder(s). The Village further reserves the right to award a Contract which, in its judgment, is in the best interest of the Village.
