The City of Winston-Salem invites the submittal of responses to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from firms qualified to perform engineering, landscape architecture, and related comprehensive design professional services. The project is to design various improvements for Miller Park located at 400 Leisure Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. All questions concerning this RFQ or the scope of work should be submitted in writing to Ben Hatch at benjaminh@cityofws.org by the End of Question period of 12:00pm, November 13, 2024. The City of Winston-Salem has many city parks such as Miller Park, which is a naturally wooded park in the heart of Winston-Salem with streams, paved and natural walking trails, bocce and petanque courts, 6 picnic shelters, playgrounds, exercise stations, two baseball/softball diamonds, an amphitheater, four lighted tennis courts, restrooms, and horseshoe pits. It also has a recreation center with additional programming. Miller Park is an active part of the community and receives high usage all year round. Plans will include park improvements to include a new restroom replacement, expanded playground, park safety lighting, trail reviews, widening of walking trails to 10', improved directional signage, construction of a shade structure, picnic shelter upgrades where needed, amphitheater repairs, new trash cans, benches, and ADA improved accessibility.
