Renovation of a municipal facility in Richmond, Indiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of January 10, 2025, the elevator project generated just one bid, and the Commissioners have rejected that bid as it did not conform to the bid specifications. We will be rebidding this project, probably in the spring. Wayne County Commissioners will accept bids for the modernization of one elevator and installation of a new elevator under a single unified general construction contract which includes all aspects of the work according to Drawings and Specifications prepared by LWC Incorporated. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the contract time. Completion date is August 8, 2025. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws covering their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to 10% of the bid amount. A performance and payment bond shall be required. Bids may not be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled within 45 days following the time and date designated for opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding. The Owner shall have the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received. It is the intent of the Owner to award the Contract to the lowest responsible or best bidder consistent with the Owner's best interest. Work also includes careful removal and salvage of existing marble stone base, wainscote and chair rail details to allow for new elevator openings b. Additional marble stone removal and salvage for relocation and reinstallation is required at the historic feature on the second floor as indicated on the Drawings Question Deadline 12/06/2024
