Notice is given that the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections is soliciting from qualified bidders possessing knowledge, skills, and experience in pre-architectural jail planning, engineering and related services to provide a comprehensive facility and operational assessment for Hillsborough County Department of Corrections (HCDOC). The assessment will evaluate current staffing, operations and facilities, with future detention population forecasts and the feasibility and cost of structural modification of the existing facility or construction of a new facility, in order to meet current and future corrections and programming standards. The scope of work is to provide necessary information to develop a strategic plan and determine the need for a new and/or renovated jail and corrections facility; the services and operations to be provided within the facility, as well as the capacity, staffing and costs. The Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bidders and proposals and to waive or disregard minor irregularities, informalities, or deficiencies.
