The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor necessary to construct a New 500,000-Gallon Elevated Storage Tank for the City of Sumter, consisting of the following approximate quantities: A 0.5 MG elevated water tank (multi-column or composite), approximately 958 LF of 12-inch water main, valves, fittings, and appurtenances, demolition and installation of two (2) altitude valves (off-site), and installation of an emergency generator (off-site). This project must be closed out before June 1, 2026 to comply by SCIIP grant requirements. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Information for Bidders. A one hundred percent (100%) payment bond and performance bond will be required. Contractor must provide fire, extended coverage, vandalism, and malicious mischief insurance equal to the actual value of the insured property during construction.
