Renovation of a detention facility in Galveston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Purpose: This Request for Proposal is to contract with a commercial flooring contractor to install approximately 10,800 square feet of commercial grade tile flooring with the most innovative and long-lasting flooring at the following location: Galveston County Jail 5700 Ball St Galveston, TX 77551 The project will include the demolition of the current floor and installation of the new flooring. Galveston County has federal grant funding to complete this project, which means that the successful contractor will be required to work side-by-side with County grant staff to ensure all contract and invoice documents meet federal requirements. The project will occur within a secure facility so all workers will have to pass a background check. The time stamp clock located in the Purchasing Agent's office shall serve as the official time keeping piece for this solicitation process. All submittals must be marked on the outside of the sealed envelope: RFP #24-026, Jail Facility Kitchen Floor Replacement The Galveston County Purchasing Department utilizes Bonfire Interactive to distribute and receive bids and proposals in an electronic format via an online portal. Potential Bidders must register through the online portal to participate electronically. Question Deadline 11/20/2024 at 5:00 PM CT A bid bond is a requirement of this solicitation. A Performance & Payment bond are requirements of this solicitation The Galveston County Commissioners' Court reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid or bids which, in its opinion, is most advantageous to Galveston County with total respect the governing laws.
