Sprinkler systems maintenance, testing, inspections, and minor repairs at Tobyhanna Army Depot. The contractor shall inspect, test, and perform minor repairs to the water-based fire protection systems in accordance with the latest version Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 3-601-02: Inspection, Testing & Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems. The contractor shall perform the Annual, two (2), and five (5) year inspection, testing and maintenance (including minor repairs) on all items listed in UFC 3-601-02. Technical guidance is contained in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 25. A complete listing of the 262 systems by building may be referenced in "Solicitation Attachment - Systems by Building". This attachment will be provided in any resultant solicitation. Minor repairs are repairing or replacing automatic heads, tamper switches, water flow switches, pressure switches, drain valves, check valves, alarm lines, drain lines, main drains, and repacking of control valves, as well as any additional work identified during inspection/testing (as approved by the COR). All minor repairs shall be performed In Accordance With (IAW) standard industry practices, equipment manufacturer's recommendations, and applicable standards (National Fire Protection Association, National Electric Code, Standard Plumbing Code, etc.) It is noted that minor repairs shall include both services that require labor only and services that require both labor and parts. Any repairs must be approved by the COR before the commencement of any work.
