Renovation of a municipal facility in Steubenville, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Justice Center Roof Project All bids must be accompanied by a BID GUARANTY in the form of (1) a Certified Check, or Revocable Letter of Credit pursuant to Chapter 1305, ORC, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of base bid plus all alternates; or (2) a Bid Bond drawn upon an acceptable Surety Company, for the full amount of the bid plus all alternates, one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bid guaranty shall be made conditionally payable to the Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio. The bid guaranty shall be made unconditionally payable to the Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio. All bid guarantees shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper contract shall be executed and that upon failure or refusal to enter into said contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notification of award the bidder and surety on any bond shall be liable to the County in an amount not to exceed ten percent (10%) of the bid. The successful bidder, upon receipt of the Notice of acceptance of the bid, must furnish a Performance Bond in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, to the Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, the State of Ohio, said Bonds to be unconditionally payable to the Board of Commissioners. Upon rejection of any bid, the Bid Guaranty shall forthwith be returned to the unsuccessful bidder, upon the acceptance of a bid, the Bid Guaranty shall be returned to the successful bidder upon the proper execution and securing of the Contract. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid during a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening. After opening, the bids will be compared to quality, thoroughness, and cost by the Owner and Architect (McKinley Architecture & Engineering). Bidding Documents are being issued in electronic format (PDF) only and will be sent by the Architect to interested parties only via email ShareFile download at no cost to the bidder. Provide all pertinent contact information including an active email account with your request. The Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio, reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities. The Board of Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Ohio, may reject any or all of the bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against the County of Jefferson.
