furnishing the materials and performing the labor for the Belleview Park Pool Renovations in Steubenville, Ohio. Each bidder is recommended to attend a pre-bid inspection to examine existing conditions and all surrounding conditions and protection needed affecting the work to be performed. Bids shall be on a unit price basis and shall be in writing on proposal blanks furnished by the City. The Bid must be accompanied by the Bid Guaranty. At the option of the Bidder, the guaranty may be a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code which is included, or a bid bond on the included form in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Bid. Cash deposits will not be accepted. The Bid guaranty shall insure the execution of the Agreement and the furnishings of the Surety bond or bonds by the successful Bidder, all as required by the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds. The Bidder shall have 5-years' experience minimum for type of work they are performing with their own forces (not subcontracting) for items that total a minimum of 60% of the awarded contract amount. The Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, time of award and through the life of the contract. Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages, as set forth in the contract documents, must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. The Architects' probable cost of construction for the Base Bid Total is six hundred and fifty thousand dollars and zero cents $650,000.00. The target completion date for this project is May 16, 2025, or an Approved Architect/City Agreed Upon Date. Please include completion date with bid for review and consideration. The City of Steubenville, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. All questions prior to the bid date shall be directed via E-mail by Wednesday, November 13, 2024 to: Jim Clarke, Sixmo Architecture E-mail: jclarke@sixmoarchitecture.com Bids may be held by the City of Steubenville, for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids, for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. All work will include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Repair concrete pool deck and walls 2. Install tile depth markers 3. Replace main hair and lint trap 4. Construct new enclosure around filter 5. Construct a roof over water heaters 6. Replace existing pump room and kiddie pool pump room door 7. Install new countertops at concessions (1 ADA height + 1 standard height) 8. Install 3-compartment sink and hand sink 9. Paint and re-caulk the pool floor 10. Provide new exhaust for pool pump room 11. Check bonding under exposed deck. Bond as required metallic features reattached to deck. Alternate #1: Replace entire deck Alternate #2: New pool stainless steel/concrete stair Alternate #3: New slide Bonding Contingency: $20,000 to be included in Bid amount
