The Project involves the construction of solider pile, lagging retaining wall, earthwork, full depth reclamation of asphalt concrete, mid western guard rail, drainage improvements, striping, vegetation, and associated work on Shannon Road between Diduca Way and Santa Rosa Road. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to Town, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. Contractor fails to complete the Work within the Contract Time, Town will assess liquidated damages in the amount of $7,125 per day for each day of unexcused delay in achieving Final Completion, and such liquidated damages may be deducted from Town's payments due or to become due to Contractor under this Contract. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class A. Time for Final Completion - The Project must be fully completed within 118 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. Estimated Cost - The estimated construction cost is $3800000. Town reserves the unfettered right, acting in its sole discretion, to waive or to decline to waive any immaterial bid irregularities; to accept or reject any or all bids; to cancel or reschedule the bid.
