ANNOUNCEMENT OF BIDDING A. The Board of Education, Independent School District No. 625, Saint Paul Public Schools, will receive electronic bids for: Bruce Vento Elementary New Construction 409 Case Avenue East, St. Paul MN 55130 Project # 1020-22-01 Primary Work Scopes: Bid Category Bid Number Description Labor/Materials 32B 24-3943 Asphalt Paving Labor and Materials 32E 24-3948 Site Specialties & Furnishings Labor and Materials 32F 24-3928 Landscaping - Phase 2 Labor and Materials 32G 24-4021 Landscaping - Phase 5 Labor and Materials 32H 24-3949 Gabion Baskets Labor and Materials B. Saint Paul Public Schools makes Announcements of Bidding in the following locations: 1. The St. Paul Legal Ledger 2. The Saint Paul Public Schools website. BID SECURITY A. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount (in the form of a bid bond or cashier's check) is required for bids totaling $175,000 or more. Electronically submitted bids require a copy of the bid security to accompany submission. Original cashier's check bid security must be delivered within three (3) business days of bid opening or postmarked on or before bid opening date. PROJECT DESCRIPTION A. The Project includes the new construction of a 165,000 s.f. elementary school. The construction will take place within the confines of the existing site, with construction commencing and completing while the current school operates on the same site. Following the school student body's move into the new building, the Project includes the demolition of the existing school and finish site work. For printed copies: 1. Contact the Printer in advance to order the documents or order on-line. 2. Make checks payable to ARC Central. 3. Documents may be picked up by bidders directly from the Printer. 4. If delivery of the documents is requested, charges shall be paid by the Bidder directly to the Printer. 5. The Owner may provide one PDF set of documents to the successful bidder(s). Additional sets may be purchased by the Contractor. Bid Form will be the "Invitation to Bid" Form included in the Project Manual in section 00 41 00. The "Contractor Verification and Compliance Form" and its Attachments A-1 and A-2 are included in the Project Manual in sections 00 41 05 and 00 41 10, following the "Invitation to Bid" Form. 1. Each Bidder shall review Minn. Stat 16C.285 to verify eligibility for consideration under the criteria established. Statute can be found at website. QUALIFICATION Each bidder shall review the General Conditions of the Contract, Invitation to Bid form and Contractor Verification of Compliance forms included in the Project Manual as noted in 1.6 D and E above, to verify eligibility for consideration under the criteria established for this Project. PRE-BID CONFERENCE / WALK THROUGH A. Not applicable PROJECT SCHEDULE A. Refer to Cover Sheet for when Owner intends to recommend award of Contract. SPPS's Purchasing & Contract Services Department will send the Contract to recommended bidders after Board of Education award and processing is completed. B. Refer to 01 02 00 Milestone Schedule for the anticipated Construction Start Date. C. Refer to 01 02 00 Milestone Schedule for the anticipated Substantial Completion Date. WAGE DETERMINATION REQUIREMENTS A. A Project Labor Agreement is in effect for this project. Refer to Section 00 73 50.
