**As of May 04, 2026, the awarded contractor is Waypoint Contracting, Inc, with an awarded amount of $3,800,271.20.** The Village is undertaking one of the most meaningful projects in its history: the development of a dedicated public park honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation's Veterans. A 3.1-acre parcel of land, deeded to the Village by South Motors Company of Dade County, will be transformed into a community park designed to serve as a place of remembrance, reflection, and gathering. The park will include open green spaces, community gathering areas, and the Gold Star Family Memorial Monument, featuring four pillars representing Homeland, Family, Patriotism, and Sacrifice. Phase I improvements include site preparation; civil and site engineering; hardscape and landscape installation; irrigation; site furnishings; related general construction items; and the installation of the Gold Star Family Memorial Monument. This future park shall be known as Charles and Fanny Dascal Veterans Park. All labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct the improvements described by these Drawings and Project Specifications will be provided by the Company. Construction of this Project will require close coordination with the Village's Engineer and Parks and Recreation Director.
