Site work for a mixed-use development in Palmetto Bay, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
**As of May 04, 2026, the awarded contractor is Waypoint Contracting, Inc, with an awarded amount of $3,800,271.20.** The Village is undertaking one of the most meaningful projects in its history: the development of a dedicated public park honoring the service and sacrifice of our nation's Veterans. A 3.1-acre parcel of land, deeded to the Village by South Motors Company of Dade County, will be transformed into a community park designed to serve as a place of remembrance, reflection, and gathering. The park will include open green spaces, community gathering areas, and the Gold Star Family Memorial Monument, featuring four pillars representing Homeland, Family, Patriotism, and Sacrifice. Phase I improvements include site preparation; civil and site engineering; hardscape and landscape installation; irrigation; site furnishings; related general construction items; and the installation of the Gold Star Family Memorial Monument. This future park shall be known as Charles and Fanny Dascal Veterans Park. All labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct the improvements described by these Drawings and Project Specifications will be provided by the Company. Construction of this Project will require close coordination with the Village's Engineer and Parks and Recreation Director. All bids must be on a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) basis per the Bid Form No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bid without the consent of the Village for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening and reading bids. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to terminate the process at any time, rebid the Project, waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities, to disregard all non-conforming, conditional or counter-bids, to award in whole or in part to one or more respondents, or take any other such actions that may be deemed in the best interest of the Village.
