Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lynchburg, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Panther Path will feature an eight-foot-wide paved ADA-accessible trail loop. A new sidewalk will connect Perrymont Avenue to the park’s interior, complete with entrance enhancements. Outdoor learning will be supported with a classroom area and a greenhouse, providing Perrymont Elementary students with hands-on educational opportunities. Recreation spaces will be expanded with a picnic area and the Woods Walk, which will connect to the athletic fields behind the school. Improvements to the existing Creekside Trail will allow for a connection to Greenwood Drive and Sandusky. New interpretive and informational signs will enrich the visitor experience. Additional plantings and protective measures will be implemented to preserve mature trees. Drainage improvements will be made to support environmental sustainability. As of May 1, 2025, the project is in planning and under site plan review with the Technical Review Committee.
