Renovation of an educational facility in Quincy, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The City of Quincy invites bidders to submit sealed bids for the Snug Harbor Elementary School Air Handling Unit Replacements Project, in accordance with documents prepared by BLW Engineers. General bidders must be DCAMM in HVAC. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The work of this contract includes but is not limited to the demolition and removal of existing branch circuitry from the existing Air Handling Units and provide new electrical in Fan Room, including providing new branch circuitry to power new ERV, fan coil, and condensate pump. Every request for such interpretations shall be in written form and may be directed to Kathryn R. Logan, Chief Procurement Officer by email to: klogan@quincyma.gov and cc: mmarini@quincyma.gov. Inquiries for the General Contract will be accepted until November 26, 2024, at 12:00 PM. Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning work shall include: 1) Demolition of existing air handler units (x2) and associated ductwork to existing duct risers in basement 2) Demolition of existing exhaust fans (3) on roof. 3) Provide weather tight caps on roof fan curbs. 4) Provide and install energy recovery ventilator and controls, tied into existing building management system. 5) Provide and install heating and cooling variable refrigerant flow system, including VRV coils and air source heat pumps. 6) Interconnect existing bathroom exhaust ductwork to existing air handler return ductwork. 7) Provide all controls and wiring for a complete system. 8) Provide all piping for a complete system. b. Electrical work shall include: 1) Electrical Demolition: Demolition/removal of existing branch circuitry for the existing Air Handling Units as indicated on the electrical drawings. 2) New Electrical Work in Fan Room, including providing new branch circuitry to power new ERV, fan coil, and condensate pump. The existing panel HCP shall remain and new panel HCP-B shall be added as a sub-panel to support the new equipment. 3. Factory startup and commissioning of new heating systems and applicable controls.
