Request for Bids Mowing Services 2025 - 2026 The Board of the Boonesboro Cemetery Association is requesting bids for mowing and grounds keeping services for the Boonesboro Cemetery and Boonesboro Christian Church; approximately five (5) acres. The contract will be for a period beginning March 1, 2025 through February 28, 2026, with possible one-year extensions. The Cemetery is governed by six boardmembers. They are ultimately responsible for the awarding and managing the performance of the contract, but day-to-day contact and primary communication will be through the Cemetery Sexton. The scope of services is generally as follows: 1. The approximate mowing season runs from March 1st through October 31st. Mowing services should not be performed during church services on Sunday mornings, which occurs between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. 2.Contractor is expected to furnish all labor,equipment, and supplies necessary toperform the duties of thecontract. 3. Contractor is expected to mow cemetery and church grounds, trim around headstones and fencing, and perform all cleanup and light maintenance associated with mowing and trimming. Contractor is expected to blow grass and weed clippings off headstones. Contractor is expected to mow approximately once per week during high growth periods, less frequently when dry. Weed trimming around headstones and decorations should be done each time mowing is done. 4. Contractor is expected to mow grass and trim around headstones immediately before Memorial Day weekend each year and performother such clean-up and maintenance work to make the cemetery appear well-kept, maintained, and presentable for that holiday. 5. Contractor is expected to mow grass and trim around headstones immediately before the Boonesboro Cemetery Fall Festival, which is held the first weekend of October, and perform other such clean-up and maintenance work to make the cemetery appear well-kept, maintained, and presentable for the event. 6. Contractoris expectedtokeeptheditch and embankment along Highway J mowed as well. Payment shall be made in equal payments according to a regular schedule established by the agreement. Invoices mustbereceived by theTreasurer before paymentis issued. TheContractor willbe requiredto maintain generalliability and automobile liability insurance during the duration of the contract and any extensions.
