Site work for a water / sewer project in Blaine, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work for this project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the project identified above including the following major work items: Removal of eighteen (18) existing creosote timber piles (12 guide piles, 6 batter piles) Removal of one (1) concrete guide pile Removal of approximately nine thousand, two hundred and ten (9,210) square feet of a boathouse (timber docks, timber support structure, metal sheet panel roof) Removal of approximately one hundred and fifty (150) square feet of a concrete floating dock Installation of twelve (12) steel pipe piles as anchors for the new floating docks and to support the adjacent concrete main headwalk. Installation of new floating docks and associated utilities. Note that the fabrication of the floating docks will be completed by others. Engineers estimate: $1,150,000 to $1,380,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, money order, or an original signed and stamped surety bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to the Port of Bellingham. Any and all questions related to this project must be submitted via email prior to 5:00 PM, local time, on Thursday, November 14, 2024. No questions will be accepted after that time. The Port of Bellingham reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. All bids submitted shall be considered as valid offers for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of the bid opening during which time the Port of Bellingham will make the award or return all bids. Substantially complete all work within 120 days from Notice to Proceed (including materials procurement). In-Water work shall be completed by February 15th, 2025. The Project shall be physically complete within 30 consecutive calendar days following Substantial Completion. Physical Completion is defined in the Standard Specifications. Should the Contractor fail to complete the Work within the time allotted, liquidated damages shall be assessed an amount not to exceed $250 per calendar day.
