Demolition, site work and addition to a fire / police facility in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Working plans call for the addition of a 967-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
**As of February 21, 2025 the bids were rejected due to over the budgeted amount. As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid.** The contractor awarded the Scotch Plains South Side Fire House Addition Project contract, if any, will Construct an approximate 967 square feet one-story building Addition to the existing facility. Location- 1910 Raritan Road SCOTCH PLAINS, NEW JERSEY No bids shall be received other than at the time and place herein designated for their receipt, unless mailed to the Township Clerk for receipt at the designated time and place. Questions shall be accepted until 3:00 pm on Wednesday November 13, 2024. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), must be submitted with the bid guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract. Bidders must also submit a Consent of Surety with the bid, wherein the Surety agrees to furnish a performance bond if the Bidder is awarded the contract. The Township of Scotch Plains does not take any responsibility for the receiving of any submitted/ requested information; it is entirely up to the Contractor to assure that their information is properly submitted. Specific questions regarding the project will be addressed at the pre-bid meeting. Bidders on this project are required to be classified by the State of NJ, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) under either classification #C008 or #C009 as well as other documentary requirements as set forth in the INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS found in the bid specifications. Bidders are required to submit a valid Business Registration Certificate from the State of New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. Each bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Township Clerk, bearing the name and address of the bidder, upon which shall be designated: "Scotch Plains South Side Fire House Addition Project" The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:l l-13.2.
