Iron Fittings Proof of any increase must be documented by the manufacturer's letter and forwarded to Lauren Rodriguez, Purchasing Agent larodriguez@cityofirving.org. Notice of increase will be subject to approval by the Water Utilities department and Purchasing Division before acceptance. All fittings cannot be more than one-year old when delivered. C-153 Ductile Iron MJ type, or all stainless steel with full circumference gasket, are acceptable. All fittings must meet all current American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards, be approved by Water and Sanitary Sewer products approval committee, be manufactured domestically, as well as be on the approved products list prior to the bid being submitted. Where a bid is awarded with escalation/de-escalation pricing, the vendor is required to give a 30-day written notice before price increases. The requested increase must be a factor beyond the control of the vendor and shall not exceed the percentage of the documented manufacturer's increase. Escalation/De-Escalation - This bid is being awarded with escalation/de-escalation pricing. Prices quoted shall be firm for the first initial term of the contract. After renewal, price increases are allowed on a quarterly basis only. Intent - The purpose of this bid is to establish an annual contract to supply iron fittings to be used by the Water Utilities Department. Contract Period - The initial term of the contract will begin from date of award and will run through the last day of the month prior to the award date plus one year. Renewal Option - This contract is subject to consideration for two renewals with each renewal being for a one-year period of time and under the same terms and conditions as awarded. Each renewal option may be exercised by the City of Irving with written agreement by contractor. Delivery - The City requires delivery within 30 days of receipt of order. Award - Groups I - X will be awarded by group to a single vendor; therefore, be sure to bid every item in each of these groups to be considered for award. The tapping sleeves shall be suitable for use with a Mueller CL-12 drilling machine or vendor will furnish a drilling machine to the City of Irving at no charge. The outlet flange should be stainless steel or equivalent 304 stainless steel. Test plug shall be of 304 stainless steel. Flange outlets shall be indexed per MSS-SP60 to accept tapping valve, 125 (ASA B6-1960). Sleeves shall be equipped with and furnished complete with bolts, glands, and gaskets. No sleeves secured by bands or any method other than a complete full body, sealing the entire circumference of the pipe, shall be allowed. Sleeves shall be all stainless steel and shall be Neoprem Grade 60 or buna gasket. Flanges shall be CF8, cast stainless, which is equivalent to 18-8 type 304 stainless or approved equal. Tapping sleeves are to be ANSI/NSF standard 61 Certified. All tapping sleeves shall be minimum 150 PSI hydrostatic with a test pressure of 200 PSI on pipe with a full circumferential break.
