Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Woodland Park, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be performed under this contract includes the construction of concrete sidewalk and driveways, pavers, reconstruction of curb and various other streetscape improvements along Browertown Road (CR-635) from Mill Pond Road to Borough Limits. Additionally, all ADA curb ramps within the project limits shall be upgraded to compliance. Principal items of work in the project include: . 620 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick . 930 L.F. 9" x 16" Concrete Vertical Curb . 7 UNIT Trash Receptacle and Recycling Station The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 60 calendar days of notice to proceed. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the BROWERTOWN ROAD STREETSCAPE PROJECT - PHASE II. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. Unless otherwise permitted by N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3, all bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24. The Owner and Bidder may agree to hold bids for consideration for a longer period of time, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.10, or other applicable law; to waive minor informalities or non-material exceptions in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder, as per N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1, et seq. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
