Renovation of a laboratory facility in Richland, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
The 325 Radiochemical Processing Laboratory building (325RPL), a Hazard Category II nonreactor nuclear facility, is located at 325 Redwood Street, in the 300 Area on the Hanford Site. This work includes demolition of some of the existing concrete and repouring, fabrication of new railings and stairs, removing and reset stair treads on some of the others. All demolition debris will be loaded into ERDF cans, supplied by Battelle, for disposal at ERDF. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and subcontracts necessary to repair the stairs and railings identified in 325RPL Stairwell Code Correction Modification Project S840759 drawings, bringing them up to current codes. Performance bonds - Unless BATTELLE determines that a lesser amount is adequate for the protection of the Laboratory and the Government, the penal amount of performance bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price; and If the contract price increases, an additional amount equal to 100 percent of the increase. Payment bonds - Unless BATTELLE makes a written determination supported by specific findings that a payment bond in this amount is impractical, the amount of the payment bond must equal - 100 percent of the original contract price; and If the contract price increases, an additional amount equal to 100 percent of the increase. Location: 325 Radiochemical Processing Laboratory (RPL), 325 Cypress Street, 300 Area, Richland, WA 99354 The Work shall commence within five (5) calendar days of Contractor's receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) unless the parties mutually agree otherwise in writing. Bidder MUST submit a WRITTEN request for clarification or interpretation using Request for Information (RFI) form at electronically. Prime Contractor shall be pre-qualified prior to submitting bid; likewise, Subcontractors to a Prime Contractor performing work shall be prequalified prior to issuance of NTP.
