Renovation of a laboratory facility in Richland, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
This project will install a new Labconco XL 16 ft floor mounted fume hood in Building 3850, Lab 116. Insupport of this installation, modifications to the HVAC system supply and exhaust currently serving Lab 116 will be required. The work is predominantly mechanical in nature, with some minor electrical, plumbing, and architectural work required. The project scope includes (but is not limited to) the following: o Demolition of existing supply and exhaust ductwork. Removal of 6 supply diffusers. o Demolition of existing gas service connections at one connection group (6 total: including compressed air, lab vacuum, argon, nitrogen, and two currently unused specialty gas lines). o Demolition of existing heating and cooling coils on second floor. Removal of associated hydronic piping back to main branch lines. o Removal and subsequent replacement of sections of suspended ceiling is required to facilitate overhead access within 116. o Removal/salvage of two existing (supply and return) venturi valves. o Installation of new owner provided 16' floor mounted fume hood. o Installation of new galvanized supply ductwork and stainless-steel exhaust ductwork (approximately 110 total linear feet). o Installation of 8 new supply diffusers. o Installation of new heating and cooling coils, new associated hydronic piping, and new drain pan. Hot taps will be required. o Provide 2@ new 14" venturi control valves. o Provide new control board. Connect to FMCS and update programming as needed. o Extend 3@ new 120V/20A circuits to fume hood. o Provide test and balance services. o All other work as documented in these specifications and the documents labeled "S851898- FULLSET-01". It is anticipated that the successful contractor will receive the Award on or around December 17, 2024. The amount of the bid guarantee shall be 20% percent of the bid price or $3,000,000, whichever is less. Bid Guarantee: is required
