Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Ottawa, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a 11,000-square-foot multi-residential development; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
1. Project will be constructed under two (2) prime lump-sum contracts: a. Base Bid A: Construction of the New Shelter Shell and Associated Rough-in Work. b. Base Bid B: Build-out Related to the New Shelter and Civil Work. This project is funded in whole or in part with grant funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Attention is called to the fact that (1 not less than the Federal prevailing wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; 2) The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3, 24 CFR Part 75; and 3) The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bid security in the form of A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Illinois Valley PADS , negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Selected Bidder will be required to provide satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor & Material Payment Bond covering the full performance of the Contract. Illinois Valley PADS reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any irregularities in the Bidding.
