Vespasian Warner Public Library HVAC Renovations Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days from the due date. WORK consists of demolition, removal, and installation of all equipment to provide a comprehensive replacement of the existing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Currently there is one air handler (AHU) in the basement located in the existing new addition and very little ventilation in the original building. The intent is to replace AHU-1 and add (2) additional units to condition the existing new addition and the original building. The ventilation system will have considerable demolition of the ductwork, electrical, and removal of AHU-1 and the installation of (3) new AHU units. The new AHUs will have new VFD's and new VAV boxes for variable airlow control and hot water reheat. The existing chilled water-cooling system will need to be demolished and replaced with DX condensers for the AHU's. The boiler system will be a complete demo, and a new tankless boiler system will be installed. Fan coils in the building will be retroitted with new fan coil units. Slight alterations of the ground level and upper-level oak fan coil cabinets, replace with new fan coils and fan coil inserts. The library is keeping the oak fan coil cabinets, extra precautions should be taken to preserve them. Install Mini Splits systems where required. Install and supply new electric baseboard heat. Demolition of the HVAC piping and install new piping, connect all new piping to boiler and hot water coils on AHU's. Demo of the exhaust fans and replace with new. Install and provide all piping, wiring and plumbing to each piece of equipment. Contractor provides all material for duct chases. Contractor provides scope of work in bid. All construction debris and existing material will be removed from site by the contractor. ENTEC will provide all HVAC equipment: AHU, VFD, Condensers, Boilers and Pumps, Fan Coils and inserts, Mini-Splits, Exhaust Fans. The intent is to provide a seamless turn-key project to Vespasian Warner Public Library. Bids will be received for completion of the entire project under a single Mechanical Contract . Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a bid bond or certiied check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the bid sum. Commencement of the work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of the Board of Trustees, VESPASIAN WARNER PUBLIC LIBRARY, CLINTON ILLINOIS. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 -12).
