Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a service station / car wash facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Installation of two EV chargers to service four new parking spaces allocated for electric vehicles. Three of the parking spaces will be standard spaces, the fourth will be an ADA van accessible space. An additional standard ADA space is included in the project brining the total to five parking spaces. The parking spaces will be asphalt paved and stripped. Power for the chargers will be pulled from the facility, this will require trenching or boring to bring the power from the building to the parking area. Included with the project is the following: Parking signage, concrete wheel stops, and concrete filled steel pipe bollards to protect the EV chargers. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. NCDAC requires that, for construction contracts with a value of $5000 or greater, the contractor shall comply with the document Guidelines for Recruitment and Selection of Minority Businesses for Participation in State Construction Contracts including Identification of Minority Business Participation, Affidavits A, B, C, and D, and Appendix E. These forms provided herein are hereby incorporated and made a part of this contract. A bidder's failing to comply with this requirement will be considered non-responsive and will result in bid rejection. All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license as required under the state laws governing their respective trades. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina, will be observed in receiving and awarding general contracts. General contractors submitting bids on this project must have license classification for Limited (set forth the license classification required by the NC General Contractors Licensing Board under G.S. 87-1) Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
