Site work for a mixed-use development in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility; and water / sewer project.
All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. A bid surety may be submitted as a cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond. (The amount of the surety bond may be stated either as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the bid proposal.) Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in this Project Manual, then the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bainbridge Island. Additionally, this project is subject to the apprenticeship requirements of RCW39.04.320. NATURE OF IMPROVEMENT: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the following major elements: The Contractor shall furnish and install nine (9) new pressure reducing stations, 132 individual pressure reducing valve assemblies, and approximately 5,800 linear feet of new water main, including an approximately 210 linear feet of 20-inch trenchless casing installation. This includes including all valves, appurtenances, connections to existing mains, water service replacement, power and communication conduits and cables, junction box, control panels and surface restorations. The work includes all materials, labor and services for a complete and operational installation. The City of Bainbridge Island reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must meet the mandatory responsibility criteria required by RCW 39.04.350 and any supplemental criteria described in the Contract Documents. Bidders should verify they meet the responsibility criteria before submitting a bid. The Bidder agrees to complete the work as specified, including corrections, finish, and cleanup within one hundred seventy five (175) working days of the Notice to Proceed date given by the City of Bainbridge Island. The Contractor shall furnish and install nine (9) new pressure reducing stations, 132 individual pressure reducing valve assemblies, and approximately 5,800 linear feet of new water main, including an approximately 210 linear feet of 20-inch trenchless casing installation. This includes including all valves, appurtenances, connections to existing mains, water service replacement, power and communication conduits and cables, junction box, control panels and surface restorations. The work includes all materials, labor and services for a complete and operational installation.
