The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the following major elements: The Japanese American Exclusion Memorial Water Line Extension Project consists of extending water main along Eagle Harbor Drive & installing one fire hydrant and one service connection from the existing 12-inch main in NE Old Creosote Hill Road west to the entrance to the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial Center. The work includes installing 2,119-lineal feet of 10-inch ductile iron pipe water main along Eagle Harbor Drive, 273-lineal feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe water main into the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial site owned by Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Parks & Recreation District, one fire hydrant and one water meter and associated pavement, shoulder, and landscape restoration All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. A bid surety may be submitted as a cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond. (The amount of the surety bond may be stated either as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the bid proposal.) Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in this Project Manual, then the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bainbridge Island. The City of Bainbridge Island reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must meet the mandatory responsibility criteria required by RCW 39.04.350 and any supplemental criteria described in the Contract Documents.
