Description: The City of Framingham, through the Mayor of Framingham Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority invites sealed bids for McCarthy School Roof Replacement and Associated Work. The project work consists of the partial renovation of the existing roof consisting of removing a portion of the existing roofing system and the installation of a new roofing system for the educational facility. The building shall be designed and constructed so as to meet all requirements of the Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the plans and specifications for the Miriam F. McCarthy School 8 Flagg Drive, Framingham, MA 01702. Every General Bid and every Filed Sub-Bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, in the form of a bid bond; or a certified check; or a treasurer's check; or by cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, made payable to the City of Framingham. The Successful Bidder will be required to provide a performance bond, and a labor and materials payment bond, issued by a company authorized to do business in Massachusetts and satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, each bond being in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Amount. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and/or waive any informality, if it is deemed to be in the Town's best interests so to do. The Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) participation goal for this Contract is a combined goal of _10.4__% of the Contract Price. The applicable minority workforce utilization percentage is 15.3%. The applicable women workforce utilization percentage is 6.9%.
